Giant Frosted Flake item on eBay
The auction ad:
"Let me start by saying that this auction is the ORIGINAL giant, monster flake. There's some unoriginal joker trying to sell their flake here on Ebay and it's of lesser statue by far. Anyway, you are bidding a single, intact, genuine, MONSTER-SIZED, Kellogg’s Frosted Flake.
No, I was not impaired when I decided to post this auction. I simply poured a bowl of frosted deliciousness and this beauty fell out of the box. I said “WHOA!” and here it is. Please, all parties bid accordingly and responsibly as all proceeds from this auction will be divided 50/50 and disbursed to a charity fund and my 10-month old son’s college fund."
I have been eating and enjoying Frosted Flakes for years from my early youth into my current adulthood. I have literally eaten hundreds of bowls and I regularly finish off at least a box and a half every month. Why, because THEEEYYY’RE GREAT! I really am thankful for Kellogg’s and their contribution to America. When I cracked open this particular box of Frosted Flakes I knew it was special, as all of the flakes seemed freakishly large.
Anyway, I have NEVER come across a Frosted Flake of the stature pictured here in this auction! It’s a King of flakes to say the least, measuring approximately 3 inches by 2 inches. In the pictures you can see how monstrous the flake is. I pulled several large flakes from my bowl and this one dwarfed them all in comparison. Additionally, that is a tablespoon in the pictures, not some wimpy teaspoon that most folks eat their cereal with. My wife’s hand also demonstrates the king-sized flakedness of the specimen.
This is simply a phenomenon. If there is a larger flake out there I haven’t come across it. I also searched Guinness World Records online and I didn’t find any entry for Frosted Flakes. In closing I would like to say that if you wish to own a unique, if not absurd and eccentric piece of history and help out with two worthy causes, please bid on the auction.
I will accept payment via Paypal, Personal Check, or Money Order. Payment is expected within 7 days of the auction closing. I will pay for safe and secure shipping to ensure that your flake arrives in perfect condition. Thanks for viewing my auction and good luck bidding!

Questions from other buyers for this listing
Q: Can you please explain the dark colored blemish seen on the lower section of the flake in the last photo? Is this another smaller flake that has become stuck to the giant flake or do you think that the giant flake could possibly be growing some kind of appendage? Answered on Jan-11-05
A: I carefully inspected the flake and it appears to be a smaller flake that has become stuck to the larger flake via sugar cohesion. However, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being an appendage. This thing might possibly have a life of it's own.
Q: If I buy other cereal type items from you, will you combine shipping. For instance, if I wanted to buy the rest of the normal size flakes from the box, would I have to pay separate shipping for each flake? Thanks for your prompt response! Answered on Jan-11-05
A: Unfortunately I'm only auctioning this particular flake. The remaining flakes will be consumed by me and my son : )
Q: I have been looking for something like this for sometime. My only concern is how will you insure delivery of the King Flake? How much would shipping be to 95050? Thanks, BTW you don't drive a Focus, do you? Answered on Jan-11-05
A: I'm glad I could present this item for your bidding pleasure. Secure delivery is included in the auction price. And no, I do not...
Q: Will you be accepting Earth currency for this item or do you require the money produced on whatever planet you're from? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: I am a human. Earth currency in U.S. dollars is the preferable form of payment. However, if you happen to have some extraterrestrial technology you would like to barter, perhaps an agreement can be reached.
Q: Texas is a very big state, you're telling me you couldn't find anything else to do? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: That's why the flake is a monster, everything's bigger in Texas : )
Q: I have a Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch piece, the size of a golf ball, what do you think, in your professional opinion, that might go for? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: Hmm, not sure, as I'm not an expert, but that sounds impressive. I'd figure that the peanut butter quality would fetch it a premium. Get it appraised.
Q: Can you please take a picture of the underside of the giant flake. I want to make sure that no glue, tape or bubble gum has been used to hold multiple Frosted Flakes together. Answered on Jan-10-05
A: In order to represent the true article as best I could, multiple shots were taken from different angles. I assure you this is a single flake. The flake is a one-off genuine article. No enhancements were made to alter it's appearance. What you see is what you get.
Q: So....how bored are you?? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: LOL! If I was, I'm not anymore ;-)
Q: If I bid on this item, will have your wife model with the giant flake? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: She's flattered, but I'd have to go with a NO on that. Thanks anyway.
Q: I have a question... does it come with a nifty little box of milk for dipping? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: Sorry, milk isn't included in the auction. However, you will be provided with a lovely display box in order to show off your monster flake.
Q: Will the item not break if posted, will it be secure ? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: Glad you asked this question. Although the flake is very sturdy due to it's size I will secure it's packaging by the following means; 1) It will be wrapped in multiple layers of tissue paper. 2) The tissue paper packaging will then be surrounded by double thick bubble wrap. 3) The entire package will be packed with styrofoam peanuts in the event that it is jarred during transit.
Q: If I bid, will you throw in your car at no extra charge? Answered on Jan-10-05
A: Hmmm, my car, I'm gonna have to go with no on that one... But, hey, look at it this way, you'll own something much rarer than ANY car ; )
